MICECON 2010 REFLECTIONS

To place on record, MICECON 2010 was extremely well organized. As a speaker/participant in dozens of conferences across the globe, I must say that this was one of the very memorable events I have been party to. The logistics and conference arrangements were excellent; the quality of speakers, panelists, delegates and exhibits, the legendary hospitality and comfortable stay only made it better. The various sessions during the conference were intelligently interspersed with cultural activities, shows and dinners making way for great interaction among the delegates.

Needless to say that now I will be promoting Philippines to my respective organizations both from the point of view of MICE as well as promoting it on media/television. I will keep you informed of progress in this regard.

Thanking you once again

The programme content was great. All the speakers were all good. But I think the Square-Off Session of Re-branding Philippines is the best, since it really addressed our country; MICE concern. Mr. Bert Van Walbeek was also a great speaker. So clever and funny.

The Amazing Race and the breakout sessions were the best part of the MICECON 2010 because both encouraged delegates to participate and give inputs. Delegates also had the time to get to know each other more in these two activities. The introduction of "Tweeting for the delegates" comments or questions during the plenary was something new.

The breakout sessions and the social media plenary session is one of the best highlights of the conference. The breakout sessions I attended is very applicable in what I do in Marketing, while the social media is very updated, keeping the marketing people very well attched and gives them an idea on how to strategically advertise.
