The conversational term op (respectful "yes") summarizes in one word the Filipino's humility and respect for his elders and people he has high regard for. An interjection that is uttered at the end of the sentence when one is talking to an older person; op is a sign of the Filipino's concern for the other's status and feelings. The mano is another noteworthy Filipino social gesture. Performed by touching the forehead to the back of the hand of another, the mano is practiced by children and adults alike-to show respect for their elders. These most endearing aspects of Filipino social behavior give the traditional Filipino hospitality an added note of grace, forever captured and manifested in the various theme parties that depict Philippine life-style. The Filipino's traditional respect for his elders becomes respect and caring for this guests in any theme party.
