 WEAVES

From the North to South, the wealth, variety and beauty of hand-woven materials can be truly astounding. Intricately crafted traditional weaves such as the pina, jusi, hablon, abel, yakan and the tinalak are prized here and abroad not just as clothing materials, but as historical objects, as well. They are often regarded as museum pieces along with sculpture and painting. To appreciate these fabrics is to appreciate the depth and diversity of Philippine indigenous culture. These hand-woven fabrics can perfectly complement a Philippine lifestyle theme party-either as gift, décor, centerpiece or design of the themed promotional materials:

o Yaken weaves for Moslem Lifestyle, Southern Philippines
o Igorot or Ikat weaves for Tengao
o Jusi/Pina for Nostalgia Filipina
o Tinalak for Dabaw Etnika, Exotic Islands, Southern Philippines
